AceShowbiz – Actor Carmen Argenziano has died at the age of 75.
The Pennsylvania-born actor passed away on Sunday, February 10, his personal appearances agent at Event Horizon Talent confirmed to TMZ.com. The circumstances of his death are unclear.
Argenziano is best known for playing recurring character Jacob Carter in sci-fi TV series “Stargate SG-1” between 1998 and 2005, a role which ensured him many bookings at fan conventions over the years.
His “Stargate” co-star Amanda Tapping tweeted: “Devastated at the loss of a remarkable man. The kind of person who leaves a fingerprint on your heart. #RIP Sweet Carmen. May flights of angels carry you on.”

He also had recurring roles on TV shows including “Booker”, “Melrose Place”, “L.A. Law”, “The Young and the Restless” and “CSI: NY“, and made appearances on “Cheers”, “CHiPs”, “24“, “House” and “Hawaii Five-0“.
During his 50-year career, Argenziano accumulated more than 220 acting credits, which also included small roles in movies such as “The Godfather: Part II”, “Gone in 60 Seconds”, “Swordfish” and “Angels & Demons“.
Argenziano is survived his wife Lisa and three children.
